Good Friday Service of Worship

 "Truly this man was the Son of God!" With these powerful words, the centurion responded to the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. He had witnessed both the humanity and the divinity of Christ's suffering, and he was transformed by Christ's final utterances from the cross.

 On Good Friday, April 2, 2010, at 6:45 PM, First Baptist Church will offer a service of worship centered around the Seven Last Words of Christ as he suffered and died between two thieves, surrounded by mockers and scorners, soldiers and shepherds, enemies and the beloved. Plan to come and invite friends and neighbors to participate in this poignant musical drama. You will meet many of those who stood around Golgotha and hear their arrogance, anguish, disbelief, cruelty, heart brokenness, hope, and love. Consider the cross, find your place, express your heart of worship in gratitude for the unsurpassed love of your Savior.
